Senior Accountant - IFRS, HGB - top Job - Salary up to 80k

General responsibilities include

- Preparation of IFRS reporting and local GAAP financial statements for portfolio companies

- Liaising with the external property management service providers to ensure accurate processing of information

- Preparing monthly/quarterly support documentation

- Liaising with external auditors to ensure completion of quarterly reviews and year end audit.

- Ensuring compliance with IFRS and German GAAP

- Preparing cash flow and budget analysis

- Preparing quarterly covenant compliance reports

- Monthly completion to tight timescales within a complex accounting environment

- Working closely with asset management and technical teams to ensure accuracy of monthly reporting.

- Liaising with the Luxembourg and London to agree and complete monthly intercompany reconciliations.

- Other add hoc projects

Day-to-Day activities included

- Monthly variance analysis reporting

- Asset level bookings plus IFRS adjustments

- Check and incorporate Luxembourg posting in the monthly pack

- Preparation of compliance reports in collaboration with cash management, covenant and management accounts

- Checking of Property Managers bookings

- Bank reconciliations

- Accrual for additional opex recovery and income

- Capex accountability; Calculation, posting and reconciliation of property depreciation

- TI accountability

- Preparation of monthly reports covering accounts payable/receivable

- Reporting and monitoring bad debts

- Straight lining leasing commissions - adjustment, bookings and reconciliations

- External loans - amortisation of costs/ interest reconciliations; Preparation of all loan interest schedules

- Shareholder loan interest statements, reports and payments

- Compare shareholder loans and interests for the inter-companies

- Accrual and amortization of building repairs / improvements and lease commissions

- Managing the mark to market reserve on swaps

- Analysis of all VAT bookings on recoverable and non recoverable items

- Book and update the quarterly valuations

Qualifications

- Qualification in Accounting (ACA/ACCA; (internationaler) Bilanzbuchhalter) or equivalent qualification

- Experience in German real estate industry

- Over 5 years of work experience
